Roxy Almost Got Run Over!

I decided to take Roxy to the shops today for the first ever time. I used to take Lauren to the shop with me and it was a bit of a walk for her so I assumed that Roxy would enjoy it as well.

I tied her up to the railings outside the shop and then I went into the shop and picked up my items. As I was standing at the till I saw this black blur racing into the main road, I threw my items onto the counter and ran out to see Roxy cowering by a tree on the other side of the main road.

I scooped her up in my arms and took her home and when I got in the front door I noticed that the lead I had bought her a day before had been snapped in half. As I went back to the shop I saw a woman who was sitting on the wall when I tied up the dog.

She asked me if the dog was OK and I asked her what had happened and she said that as I went into the shop the dog started thrashing about and had snapped the lead in half in her desperate attempts to get away.

I won’t be doing that again.
