One of the biggest regrets that I have had since I was about six years of age was that I did not listen to the many optometrists that I was seen by when they told me that I should wear an eye patch over my bad eye and wear my glasses all the time. They promised that if I did then I’d have perfect vision by the time I was 16.
I didn’t do what they said and I am now 75% blind.
The reason I regret not listening to them is because I am not allowed to drive a car. I can not read a car registration number plate with or without my glasses so would not get very far on my driving test.
This is a shame because I like cars. If I had one I know I would have spent a fortune on customising my baby to the hilt. You can buy body kits online these days, from sites like carid.com, but I would have gone further and installed a kicking stereo and speakers, as well as loads of nice lights.
I have an uncle who used to do this a lot with cars when he was younger. He would buy a car, customise it a lot and then sell it on for a very nice profit. I used to love helping him install the modifications, spoilers were my specialities.
Of course not everyone soups up their car just to sell them on, I have friends who enjoy showing off their mods. I really envy them.
