Swedish Pub & Beating Anoraks

Yesterday I went to The Pipeline, in Liverpool Street, with Reiss for a few drinks, I wasn’t really in the mood to be socialising as I was in one of my grumpy moods where nothing really happened to set me off, I just felt like being grumpy.

I also had football the next day and although I was not sure if I would play or not, I didn’t want to drink too much because I am far too old to be able to drink a couple of gallons of alcohol and then play football with a hangover the next morning.

It turns out that I did get to play. Custom House had thrown on two subs when their striker was injured via a horrible two-footed lung and I was reluctantly told to get stripped and go into central midfield. So I got a 30 minute run out in a new position.

A few years ago I would have been furious at being snubbed (at one point a defender was taken off injured and replaced by a striker), but maybe it is age because if I don’t get to play it doesn’t irk me as much as it used to.

Oh, and Millwall beat Charlton at their own place live on Sky, so it was a decent day all round. 🙂
