I pulled out my printer for the first time in months this morning. In my new role of club secretary for Custom House Football Club I needed to print out some forms to send off to the league.
It had been so long since I last used the printer that I wasn’t even sure where it was! I was hoping that it wasn’t in the shed as due to the recent rain there were a few gadgets in the shed that now no longer work due to a leaking roof. Thankfully it was in one of the cupboards in my bedroom.
The ink had completely dried up in the cartridges, so I had to make a visit to my local branch of PC World to buy some new ink cartridges. I got rather angry at the price of the ink cartridges, which if like the others I have brought in the past will be half full at best, it wasn’t until I got home that I discovered that you can actually save a lot of money by refilling old cartridges in a method called CISS. I’ll have to try this next time.
I think the country is slowly starting to calm down after the recent referendum to leave the EU. Despite voting to remain I have to say I’m disappointed and embarrassed by the actions of my fellow ‘remain’ voters. We live in a democracy and more people voted to leave then remain, but the remain voters have done nothing but cry and demand a second referendum.
That’s not how it works in this country.
