If you look at my archives then you will notice that I have been very quiet on the blog this year, that is because my dad had his leg amputated earlier this year and I’ve spent almost all of my time looking after him.
This has come at a price.
It has meant that a lot of things that I enjoyed doing in life have had to be put on hold for the foreseeable future: nights out, midweek football training, and even walks with the dog have all been stopped.
I have also had to cut back on the amount of running I used to do. I used to go out for a training run four times a week and then race once or twice at the weekends, this has been reduced to two runs a week – my last race being a Mile End Parkrun back in June (Yes, I’m aware Parkrun isn’t a race).
Having to reduce the amount of running is really effecting me as it was a great way for me to control my bipolar (exercise is a great mood enhancer), I also find myself snapping at people when I haven’t had a run for a couple of days as I walk around like a bear with a sore head.
The only thing that is keeping me sane right now is that I am running in the Great North Run on September 11th and I’m being allowed to stay away for two days. TWO WHOLE DAYS!
If you are looking for a new guitar which looks a bit different from the rest then why not check out the ns design range?
