Today is a momentous occasion for me for today I have achieved a goal in life. Those of you who have set goals for yourself in the past will know the joy at finally reaching that holy grail.

To be honest there were a couple of times when my faith lapsed and I thought that I had ‘done a Reiss’ and set my goals way too high but after resisting the urge to throw a tantrum I managed to compose myself and continue on with my quest.

So what was this huge impossible goal that I had set for myself? I have finally acquired all eight series of Red Dwarf!

After I received the first two series I started to become obsessed with collecting the complete set, I had not been that obsessed since I was about ten and I used to collect the He-Man action figures.

I am now looking at what series I can obsessively collect now. I have the full series of the following already:

– The Young Ones (1 & 2)
– Carry On (all the films)
– Filthy, Rich & Catflap (1)
– Going Straight (1)
– Porridge (1, 2, & 3)
– Little Britain (1, 2 & 3)
– New Tricks (1, 2 & 3 series 4 is out in October!)
– Rock Profile (1 & 2)

I was looking through my growing DVD collection and I have two possibilities.

– Only Fools & Horses (I have 1 & 2 already)
– Two Pints Of Lager (I have 1-4 already)

I am leaning towards Two Pints as I have 4 of the 7 series already and they are easier to pick up cheaply than Only Fools & Horses DVDs. Although looking at my normal places I’m finding it hard to find series 5 and I have just found Only Fools & Horses series 3 for a fiver (brand new!).

So Only Fools & Horses it is then. 🙂
