Because this week is ‘race week’ I have once again changed my training run days from three to two. I do this because I don’t want to train too much – and I’ll have a big 10k run at the end of the week to keep the tally going anyway.
Over-training is something that you might not have heard about, but it is something that runners fear more than anything because it can lead to injuries as well as lack of motivation. This is why I don’t want to run more than three times a week. My training will eventually require four runs a weeks, but I won’t be doing that as my football training/playing will count as the 4th run.
I weighed myself this morning and I now weigh in at 238.6lbs. This is the first time I have managed to get under 240lbs in years! The last time I managed to do it was a few years ago when I became really ill over a Christmas period and went down to 235lbs. This is a big milestone for me as I was starting to lose hope of ever getting under 240lbs again. Now I’m on a new quest to try and get below 230lbs!
The nurse has told me that my ideal weight for my height (6ft 1in) is 190lbs, I don’t think I’ll be able to go that low, I’ll be happy if I get to 220lbs-225lbs.
