Custom House Finally Have A Game!

Finally after what seems like years, but was in fact just over two months, Custom House had a game of football on a Saturday afternoon. We had a massive turn out, so much so that we could have had about 9 or 10 on the subs bench if we were allowed!

Sadly the fact that most of the players had not done any kind of football since before Christmas showed (not many of the players who come to training get into the first team) and we were duly spanked 5-1, it was frustrating, but the opposition are a proper team and turned up nearly an hour before kick-off and were warming up while our players slowly arrived.

It could have been worse, I could have gone up to Barnsley and watch Millwall lose 1-0, which is what I would have done if Custom House’s game had been called off. I can’t see how we are going to survive, the manager is trying things that I believe is beyond the abilities of the crop of players we have and barring a miracle we will be playing League One football next year.

I didn’t bother going out tonight, I stayed in and tried to get some work done, I didn’t manage to get that much done because I spent the evening editing the gig listings I had created on various sites to drum up awareness of my gig on Friday. Crikey it is only SIX days away!
