I foolishly felt sorry for one of the agencies I have signed up to and agreed to do some work for them because nobody else was available, or wanted, to do the job and if they couldn’t fill the position then the client would go elsewhere and probably wouldn’t use the agency again.
The hours will mean that I have to leave my flat at 7am to get to this job for 8am, leave the first job at 3pm, rush home to walk and feed the dog, rush over to Enfield for my evening shift that starts at 5pm. This would mean I will be out of the flat from 7am until 10pm.
I knew it would be too much for me, my girlfriend knew it would be too much for me, my dog knew it would be too much for me, there are uncontacted tribes who knew it would be too much for me.
So I spent the day laying around the flat not cleaning, not working on my blogs, not going for a run, not doing anything remotely productive. Just repeatedly thinking to myself “why didn’t I say no!?”
The only thing that you might consider productive was me spending the best part of two hours trying to find the highlights of yesterday’s game between Wycombe Wanderers and Millwall. You might think that would be a rather easy task to complete, but you would be wrong. I didn’t realise how many pricks there are who play FIFA matches and then upload them to YouTube and label them as highlights between two clubs.
I don’t know why they do this.
Scratch that, I know exactly why they do that, and so do you.
