When I was a kid I used to break my glasses on average once a week, the local opticians all knew me and would dread seeing my mother dragging me in through the shop door as it meant I needed a new pair of NHS glasses.

One of my friends has to keep buying glasses for her boy because he keeps breaking them (not like me though, in a fit of anger). She was asking me the other day about an advert from a company called Zenni Optical on TV!!!

I’d heard of them before as I have thought about buying my glasses from their web site, especially their cheap $ 8 Rx eyeglasses. I told her that at $8 a pair she could buy a few so when he breaks them she has some replacements straight away.

It is nice to see in this time of global recession that at least one company is trying to offer good deals for people who are struggling to make ends meet. High Five to Zenni Optical.
