Change of Scenery?

I was disappointed with my final training run before the race on Saturday. I have been putting in regular training sessions, but I can’t seem to motivate myself to run beyond 5km. Recently every time I get to about 2.5km I just want to stop running and walk the rest of the session and it takes A LOT of fight to keep myself running.

Of course once I do the 5km and the cool down my body wants me to start running again.

I’m going to look at different running routes next week as looking at the same thing every other day, week after week, might be the reason. Most running sites suggest changing your route regularly to avoid this kind of thing.

Not being able to run more than 5km in training is not filling me with a lot of confidence that I’ll be able to beat the hour mark on Saturday.
