I had made lots of plans for when Tracy came down for eight days recently. It was only her second time in London and I was going to show her the sites of London. Not just the touristy things like Buckingham Palace and St Pauls, but also the many smaller things that London has to offer like the lovely boozers and the curry houses along Brick Lane.

It didn’t turn out like that. She was more than happy going to The Hare and eating in a curry house a couple of doors down from it. I did manage to drag her further afield to a couple of pubs on Bethnal Green Road (The Sun Inn & The Marquis of Cornwallis).

I didn’t mind just going to The Hare because the staff are friendly, they keep nice ale, have a decent pool table and they have some awesome art prints on the wall, including a fantastic Millwall shirt. 

Mind you when I go to Manchester I normally have a list of things I want to do but never get round to. And before you ask, watching Manchester United/City is not one of them!
