A Very Happy New Year 2018

[wpv-post-body][wpv-post-title][wpv-post-shortcode]A new year is upon us and like almost everyone else on the planet I have made some New Year’s Resolutions, but unlike 90% of those people I plan on keeping my resolutions after the first week of January. Here are my resolutions:

  • Lose more weight.
  • Find a job.
  • Write more often on my blog.
  • Complete my first overseas race.
  • Complete a marathon.

I have also set some running resolution goals:

  • Sub6 minute Mile.
  • Sub20 minute 5k.
  • Sub35 minute 5 miles.
  • Sub45 minute 10k.
  • Sub1:25 10 miles.
  • Sub1:40 half marathon.

I saw the new year in in the company of some amazing friends in a pub around the corner from me. I wasn’t in the mood to celebrate because I was having a sulk about not training properly and not having a lot of money, but a late run and borrowing a few quid from a friend meant I was going to try and end the year on a positive note.

We ended up going back to Alison and Reiss’ place for more drinks and merriment, plus I got to play with their two dogs Lemmy and Lola, Lola is currently expecting puppies and I’m just as excited about their arrival as Alison and Reiss are!

As usual I was the last person standing and toddled off home at about 6am in the morning.
