I don’t know what is happening to me anymore, I used to be able to go out on a Friday night, get in at 5am on a Saturday morning, have an hour’s kip, go and play football for a semi-pro side, come home, eat and then go out for another night on the piss and all that on 1 hour of sleep. Fast forward to today and you are looking at a man who spends most of the day in bed after consuming only about 7 or 8 pints of ale.
It was really nice getting out of the house and away from the laptop for a night but boy did I pay for it the following day, I stayed in bed until gone 5pm before my head and belly stopped churning. Is this a sign of me getting old? Or is it just that I am out of practice as it has been a good few months since I last indulged in a night out? Hopefully it is the latter, drinking is the only skill I have left.
Despite my brain being all foggy I still managed to get a bit of work done, which will really stick in the throats of the haters out there who try and put me down. Keep trying bitches, I’m not going anywhere.Â
The day was made even better by the fact that Millwall went up to Nottingham and beat Nottingham Forest 4-1, that makes us unbeaten in seven games now and things are starting to look up as we drag our arses out of the relegation dogfight and into mid-table, just in time for our annual Christmas slide down the table.Â
Liam Trotter prides himself on being the finest tailored sportsman at the club but he certainly needs dance lessons as when he scored our first goal he did the Gangnam Style dance that is sweeping the world and the travelling Millwall fans were cringing with embarrassment.
