On Monday I decided to give it another try and give up the cigarettes. It is now Thursday and I am still on the wagon. I am very pleased with that as I have had a few incidents where I could have gone into a shop and bought a pack or three.
I’m not sure how long it will last but four days is still some kind of an achievement for me I think. The proper test, of course, will come when I socialise with someone who smokes.
But not only have I been off the fags for the past four days but I have also been in a good mood for the past four days. This must surely be some sort of record, somebody phone Guinness World Records.
I did have a bit of a wobble last night when Reiss accused me and my blogs of giving his computer some viruses. Instead of coming online and telling me about the problem he pretty much tore into me like I’d raped & murdered his first born son.
I’m not sure if it was my blog because nobody else has suffered this problem and this blog gets over 50,000 page views a month right now. I think it might have been one of the dodgy porn sites or the illegal files he downloads that might have given him the viruses and spyware programs but he just happened to be on my blog when they activated.
Work is going well. I no longer have my own section as I have been repackaged as a ‘roaming cleaner’, this means that I clean sections of the building when the regular cleaner in that section is not in.
The supervisor (Sue) is starting to worry me a little. Everyone tells me what a strict ball-breaker she is but she is very nice and polite to me, always saying thank you and well done if I finish my work early. She has started stopping by a class room I’m in, sitting on a table and talking to me …. I don’t like people talking to me, stop doing that.
Since I’ve been working here I’ve become somewhat of an expert at moving around the classroom furniture. I can pull out the four chairs, sweep under the table and put the chairs back within about 30 seconds and it looks really swift as well.
I should go on the next series of Britain’s Got Talent.
