A Wasted Journey
After yesterday’s triumph I was pondering whether to go to the trial I had set up with a team called Springfield FC. They play on a Saturday but in a much higher league butt they had shipped in over 40 goals in about 4 games.

In a bid to find a new football club to play for I spent Saturday evening searching the Football Mitoo web site for clubs in the London area. I didn’t aim very high, I actually looked for clubs who were at the bottom of the table and had been letting in a lot of goals [...]
I hate it when I try and prove people wrong, especially when it is in a town or city I’ve never been to before. I always end up with egg on my face. Last year It happened in Manchester and it happened in Watford the other day.
I went to Watford on Saturday to meet up with a Facebook friend of mine. We had been threatening to do this for about four or five months but something would always get in the way, normally her falling ill.
I haven’t updated this blog in a while because I have been so busy with my writing commitments, and I have just been down right lazy. Sometimes I wish I could have just a capful of the energy that Richard Herring does, he hasn’t missed a day out of his blog in other 8 years!
I have been using a lot of phone credit lately. With my phone plan I get an unlimited text message allowance if I top up £10 the previous month. I send a lot of text messages and I stupidly didn’t do it in June so now I’m paying for it.
Do you know something? I really hate the theatre. Up until recently I had never been, I had an image in my head of what a night at the theatre would involve and I hated it. After spending an evening at the theatre I still bloody hate it!
With the cleaning finally taken care of I thought I would be able to settle down and get some work done today. I use the days when my dad is at hospital to get as much work done as possible because he is very demanding when he is here and the chance to work then [...]
The one thing that I dislike when I have to apply for something like a loan, something financial, an account where I get credit, or even a catalogue, is when they have to run a credit check on you.
