I am currently sitting here watching the highlights of Glastonbury on BBC 3 and I am watching Amy Winehouse on stage and I am actually cringing as she warbles and mumbles her way through You Know I’m No Good.
I’m not sure if she has simply forgotten the words to her own song, or if she just can not be bothered, but she is mumbling incoherently through parts of the song like most people do when they don’t know the lyrics.
I’m only watching to see Shakin’ Stevens, I bet they either show him at the end or they do not even show him at all! You show Amy Winehouse and Hot Chip but Shaky does not get a mention? That will be disgraceful!
On yesterday’s highlights they had The Gossip on stage and I was laughing out loud as I watched as Beth Ditto was jumping and wobbling around so much that she could not muster the breath to sing most of the chorus to her song!
And what the hell was she wearing?!

I’m a big fan of Portishead and when they announced last year that a new album was being made I was salivating. The album is now schduled to be released in April and just found out that Portishead are touring.
I found out due to an advert on both Facebook and Google for a company called Seat Wave. And when I found out that they were performing at both the Hammersmith Apolo and the Brixton Academy I made up my mind that I wanted to sell my own mother to get a ticket.
But then I saw the prices.
Brixton Academy prices start at £60.00! And you do not even get a seat, these are standing tickets at the back of the venue!
I really want to go but I am certainly not going to pay £60.00 to stand at the back of the venue!

I was surfing You Tube yesterday when I stumbled across a short video clip of a friend of mine at one of his awesome gigs. His name is Alfie Tomkins and he is a very talented singer even if he does support West Ham!

I was doing some random music downloading today and I found out that Jermaine Stewart died in 1997 due to liver cancer caused by AIDS. That put me in quite a sad mood that a favourite singer of mine had died over 10 years ago from an infection brought on by AIDS and I did not even know about it.
