Acton Town won a game yesterday! I know it is hard to believe, myself and Martin (coach) kept saying that we could not believe it on the bus to the train station.
We almost threw it away though as we were 4-1 up and just about held on to win 5-4. The ref gave them two very dodgy penalties and was leting a lot of things go that he should not have. I’m not saying he was cheating, he was merely clueless about what he was doing.
On the whole I was quite happy wih my performance. I only gave away one freekick and did not get a booking so that means I am able to be in contention for Saturday’s game. I am on four yellow cards and one more means I’m suspended.
I had a couple of beers in the club house after the game and was chilling a bit with Jayson, Martin and Jayson’s dad. I should not really drink more than one pint though as I start needing to use the toilet halfway home on the train and they don’t offer toilets on the London Underground trains.
Speaking of Saturday’s game we are at home to Tilburg Rengents, this is the team that I scored my one and only goal against and it as at our home ground as well. Will the same thing happen again? That is very doubtful as I’m not allow to push up wether I’m at left back or centre defence.

Yesterday I played my last game for Acton Town.
One of my team mates was fouled and he squared up to his foulee he was pushed as I jogged over, to calm things down, another of my team mates came over and was punched in the face and hurled to the floor by the foulee.
I asked him what he was fucking doing and put my arm out to stop him coming near my fouled team mate and he then lashed out and punched me in the chin.
I’m afraid I lost it and went for him as several Acton players tried to restrain me. Edward grabbed me around the chest to try and drag me away but I still went after the guy until somehow I ended up near the touch line where I took out my drink and tried to rinse the blood out of my mouth as the punch had split the inside of my mouth.
Then I heard Edward telling everyone that I got exactly what I deserved because I punched the guy first, which I never did. I yelled some obsenities at Edward before picking up my bag and walking off to the sounds of Edward still yelling that it was my own fault and that I deserved it.
I ended up going to a local pub to have a couple of pints. Whilst in there Jayson phoned me and told me that the ref had downgraded my red card to a yellow, this was news to me so apparently I was sent off for being punched in the face. And the punching fouler? It would not shock me in the least to find out that he had stayed on the pitch until the end of he game.
I don’t want the team to go bust or gt into trouble so I shall pay the fine money that I owe but as far as I am concerned that is it for me. EDward has talked shit to and about me for long enough and if I do decide to go back Ill cave his smug litle face in.

Yesterday saw Acton Town travelling to a place called Warren Farm to take on Uxbridge Town. It took me ages to find the place because it is tucked away and is not where the map on Street Map claimed it was. (it said the first right under the bridge when in fact it is the first left, about a mile under the bridge!)
I still managed to get there before most of the team. Sadly out of the sixteen players who were meant to show up only eleven bothered to and three first team players were among the five who did not turn up so we had to put out a patched-up team.
I was actually really pleased with my general performance during the game. The first half saw us play the best I have seen us play in a very long time, maybe even since I’ve been here and we went in at half time 0-0.
We managed to hold Uxbridge Town until about the 65th minute before an own goal gave them an undeserved lead. A couple of minutes later and it was 2-0 and our heads dropped and by the final whistle we had lost the game 4-0.
I was a little bit pissed because I felt we deserved to get something out of the game, the only thing Acton Town got out of the game was £20.00 as I picked up my fifth booking of the season when I clipped a guy and he dropped like a led balloon screaming and rolling around in pain.
Me, Jayson, Martin, Edward & Nat went for a drink after the game and actually had a bit of a laugh, this is apparently going to be a weekly thing and I think it will be good as it will get the players bonding together.

Training tonight was brillient!
Basically we were made to do lots of running around the pitch and general fitness for about 90 minutes. Lots of sit-ups and press-ups and then even more running. To be honest I struggled with the press-ups, but then again I have never been able to do them anyway.
For the last 20 minutes we had a match where the first team played the rest and we had to keep reverting back to our proper positions, at the start of this I got a really bad toothache that knocked me sideways and as I walked from the training pitch to the station it intensified so much that I had to buy some Nurofen from a shop.
It did not go away until about 4am in the morning and (touchwood) has not come back. I telephoned my dentist but apparently they have been taken over and they are not accepting NHS patients.
In fact I contacted twelve dentists in my local area and despite saying so on the NHS Direct site none of them are accepting new NHS patients due to how much hassle it is to get money from the NHS these days.
So I will have to save up and go private, which is bloody expensive!
I emailed Jayson (Acton Town manager) and said how much I enjoyed the training and he said that a lot of the players moaned about it, so I’m guessing that these moaning people will be the ones we will be replacing next season.

This was the last throw of the dice at winning some silverware this season (both our first team and reserve team are currently near the foot of their respective tables) and I stupidly thought that we might have a chance … oh how foolish I am becoming.
We resorted to a back four but although I was pushed to left back I was not allowed to play as a left-back and was repeatedly ordered to act as a third centre back. When we had corners they were still insisting on having four players back in defence even when there were no Hiwa players to mark!
Zico went up for al the corners even though (and I don’t mean to be rude here) he does absolutely nothing when he goes up, he just pushes people in the back. He was telling Damien to get into defence while he went up, Damien has scored plenty of goals for us where as Zico has scored bugger all.
We were easily beaten 3-0 and even when we were losing 3-0 in a cup game we still had to keep 4 defenders at the back.

Another game another crushing defeat, this time away to Hilltop. I’m not sure why but I actually had some pretty high hopes of getting a point from the game. The last time we played them we came back from 4-2 down to draw the game 4-4 in one of the best fight backs the club has ever seen.
We actually took the lead with a penalty that Jayson tucked away but then the normal Acton Town style crept out again and we took an absolute battering, by the end of the game they were doing little flicks and tricks taking the right mickey out of us.
Personally I thought I played possibly one of my best games of the season as I hardly put a foot wrong and was yelling and shouting encouragement, of course I was being ignored like I normally am but at least I made myself heard.
There were a few people questioning playing three defenders at the back when we keep getting swamped, some were also questioning why Jayson plays every week when he never trains.
Oh well there is always the Quarter Final of the Sunday PM - Premier Division Challenge Cup tomorrow concerning the reserves.

Today we played Warren, a team that we have played three times previously and the scores were 1-1, 0-3 and 3-3 so we were looking to kick our new year off in style by getting our first win against them and trying to carry on from the way we ended last year (with a mighty 5-1 win).
Sadly things did not go that way, although they were not very good they did play better than us and we lost 3-0 again. I did not think that I played that badly. Our attacking let us down, I think we had 3 shots at goal all game and not one of them tested the keeper at all.
We now have the worst goals conceded record in the league with 57 goals in about 12 games.

Acton Town did something quite remarkable on Saturday. They not only won a game (which is quite remarkable in itself) but they went on and beat AMU 5-1 away from home. This is possibly our biggest win in Saturday football. I can not even remember us winning this much in Sunday football.
After the game me, Edward and Martin (our coach) went to a local pub for a couple of beers and a few games of pool. This was very cool as it meant I got to know them a little bit better, and they got to know that I suck at pool.
I went home, dropped my gear off and had a bath before heading to the local kebab shop for a burger and chips, I came home to see Reiss outside the intercom. So we set off to The Mucky Pub which is becoming a weekly Saturday night custom.
Wes was already in there and we were joined by Alfie and his girlfriend Eddie. This is only the second time I’ve met her but she is kind of cool. I especially like her after she told me how to say “West Ham Are Crap” in Polish.
Jenna turned up, since she and Reiss have broken up I’ve noticed she has stopped petending to like me. It is a shame that she feels the need to judge me like that because I actually thought she was cool.
I decided to head home after hearing Jenna’s rather large and sweaty friend yell at the top of her voice that she desperately needs sex.

Acton Town’s first team took an absolute pounding yesterday as we were battered 11-0 at home against Uxbridge Town. It was not a case of Uxbridge Town being a good team, it was more a case of us making them look ten times better than they actually were.
Having a man sent off in the 7th minute probably did not help matters. We could have been down to nine men when I got involved with one of there players who slapped my arm away and then shoved me in the throat, but Daryl (our captain) decided to calm me down by screaming in my face and someone (I’m not sure who) had to practicually jump on me to stop me slapping our on-pitch leader.
I met up with my good friend Reiss and we spent the evening in the Mucky Pup (an excellent pub situated in a backstreet in Islington) drinking and watching Reiss fail spectactually in pulling women. Maybe he needs to change his chat-up technque?
Our reserve team made ammends though as we beat Norfolk & Chance 3-1, our reserve team are are actually playing better as we have own three games wher as the first team have only managed the one win.
I almost thought I was not going to make it as i woke up a little worse for wear and the trains were severely delayed due to various engineering works and someone starting a fire at Holburn station, but I did make it and was actually pleased with my performance.
About 20 minutes to go I started feeling light-headed and my stomach started making weird noises. I managed to get myself changed and into the toilet before I deposited the biggest poo I have ever done in my life. I looked at the toilet roll holder and saw there was no toilet paper, it is at times like this that I am glad I always take toilet paper with me when I go to football just in case!
