The blog was started in 2001 as a place for Dean Saliba to generally vent and rant about anything and everything that came into his head. The site was originally home as a page on The Nytemare’s Extreme Site which was hosted for free on About.com.

It outgrew its little page and in 2006 Dean moved the blog to a new home and gave it the name Dean Saliba Dot Com. Since 2006 the blog has amased over 2,000 posts and almost 900 of them remain on the blog today.

In October 2009, due to personal reasons, Dean closed the blog down. After some discussions he eventually agreed to sell this blog (as well as a collection of other blogs) to me, Steven Richardson for an undisclosed fee.

In February 2009 Dean returned to the blog as Steven was finding it increasingly difficult to update the blog on a regular basis.
