Beefing Up My Home Security

I’ve been becoming rather security conscious over the past couple of months and have seriously been contemplating getting one of those home alarm systems installed at home. I already have a guard dog but I think everyone in the neighbourhood knows he is a soppy little thing and would only lick a person to death.
When I first started thinking about getting some security I immediately began thinking I was Tony Stark out of Iron Man. But in reality I will probably settle on a nice alarm system and maybe one of those big lights for the back garden that only seem to catch cats.

Having an alarm system can be a wise decision. Many fail to consider that most systems can monitor for fire, smoke and even flooding, in addition to burglary. However, make sure that your system uses either a traditional telephone line or has a reliable communication to your monitoring center, because few alarms that cannot connect to the monitoring station are worthwhile.
