Everything I do is done to please other people. I have stopped smoking to please people, I have stopped drinking to please people, I have altered various aspects of myself to please people, I have taken anti-depressant pills to please people, I made an appointment with a counsellor to please people, I stand up to please people, I sit down to please people.

And when I say ‘people’ I mean ‘people’, as in more than one person!

I’m 31 years of age for fuck sake. I shouldn’t have to sneak a drink or a cigarette because I might upset people.

As Judas Priest once said “This is my life. I’ll decide, not you!”

Next time you think I’m going to do something that you think is stupid mind your own fucking business and let me get on with it. Don’t chase after me, don’t phone me or text me, don’t bollock me when you see me online and don’t pretend you care. If you really cared then you would know that I’m suffering and that was my way of stopping it.

If an animal is suffering you put it down and out of it’s misery. You don’t force it to carry on in pain.
