Just Phoned About A Job…
Days Without Alcohol: 47
About five minutes ago I telephoned a company about a possible job position. This is what went down.
“Hello?”
Me: “Hello, may I speak to Lauren please?”
“I’m afraid we have nothing at the moment”
“Lauren speaking.”
“Call back in ten minutes.”
Me: “Oh, Ok. I will do.”
“No, not you sir.”
“Hello Personnell Solutions?”
Me: “Hello?”
“Yes sir, Lauren here. How can I help you?”
Me: “Oh, OK. I was given your details by the jobcentre as a company still looking for recycling staff or road sweepers?”
“I’ve just told you we have nothing available at the moment.”
“Call back next week.”
“About 10:30.”
Me: “Ok, thank you. Goodbye.”
“Hello?”
….Click….
That all happened in the first 30 seconds of the phone call.
