Shaking Hands With Mickey

Recently I have been really getting into a sitcom called The Smoking Room, it was shown on BBC3 but I managed to get both series on DVD for a tenner and have been happily wearing out the discs.

Possibly my favourite character in the show is an old grizzly security guard called Len (played by Leslie Schofield from Jonny Briggs & EastEnders fame) who swears more than even me.

One of his best lines was when he was talking about going to see Mickey Mouse at DisneyLand (“I can’t wait to shake hands with Mickey”) and one of the female staff members thinking he was talking about going to the toilet.

Speaking of Disney vacations. One of my sisters is planning to take her two kids there soon. She has a knack of sniffing out good deals and apparently has found a great one where she can take the kids (and her boyfriend) for about $500 for three days.

Good job I’m not going, I don’t think I’d get on with the crowds, or those stupid fools in costumes prancing about.
