AFC Ealing played a friendly on Thursday and within the first three minutes of the game I went into a tackle and twisted my knee, the pain was so bad that everytime I ran or touched the ball the vibrations went to my knee and made the pain even worse.
Like an idiot I tried to grit my teeth and suck up the pain but it got worse and it got to the point where I could barely walk let alone run. The pain went away as I got the train home but when I woke up the next morning my knee had swollen up and I had to walk around like I had a lump of wood down my trouser leg.
It is now Tuesday afternoon and the swelling is still there and the pain is especially still there.
I was contemplating contacting Jayson and telling him that I could not make training this week but last night I got a phone call from Kerry saying we had another friendly on Sunday. This is our third friendly and the last two we only had about 8 players turn up and we had to ask the opposition to lend us some of their players. How embarrassing is that?!
If I tell Jayson that I can not make it to training I know for sure that I will try and play the game on Sunday even if I am 5% fit and I know that Jayson will think I am skiving off.

Sounds like you may have torn something. Have you been to a doctor yet?
No I have not, I’m the kind of person that believes you need to have your head hanging off before you should bother the doctor. I know it is stupid.
I think I might have bruised a ligament, I did it before to my elbow and to my wrist.
Thanks for dropping by.
If it still hurting you dean i would risk going to training on Thurdays, just see how you are for sunday, i think Jayson would rather have you for the match then training to be honest
Yeah, I think I’ll send me a text message and tell him I’ll give training a miss.
