Cheap Way To Advertise

Advertising on the World Wide Web today can be very expensive and most of the time there is no guarantee that readers and visitors will see your adverts nevermind read your adverts.

One new avenue that many companies are rushing to take advantage of is called ‘Blog Reviewing’. This is where advertisers pay bloggers to write a review post on their blog about the product and include a number of links into the review.

The great thing about this is that the review will be read by the readers of the blog and will be around for a very long time (normally several years, maybe longer). Plus the links in the review mean it will help your PR. There is also the fact that search engines wil include that review into their engines.

One such company that could help you here is http://www.bloggersreview.com.

Bloggers Review pride themselves on how cheap they can offer their service to the advertiser, they claim that you can take up an advertising campaign with them for as little as $50.00. Not only is this very good value but it will actually cost you more if you went with another blog review network.

So if you are looking to advertise on budget then check out Blogger Review, many companies are jumping on the bandwagon.

A Quiet Night In For Once

June 14, 2008 by Dean Saliba

I was still feeling very happy about how I performed on Thursday in training and today I was looking forward to training again, and I was not going to let the searing heat put me off.

Sadly only nine people turned up, we had a goalkeeper turn up and he looks petty decent, he told me his name but I forgot as I am useless at names.

Jayson decided to try and make me have a heart attack (anything to get me out of the team, Eh Jay?) buy putting us through a hefty session which ended with a match and again I was really eager and looking for the ball and taking people on.

Jayson made a comment about me looking more confident with the ball, he is right. I have no idea where this has come from, maybe it has something to do with me being offered a trial by a Combined Counties league team?

I spent most of the game setting up Nat who missed every single shot, ho in the hell do you misa shot from five yards out? He put it over the bloody bar! He reckon he will score 50 goals next season….

Reiss had some alternative thing to go to this evening so I am spending the night in, which is nice as it meant I can get a lot of work done but it reminds me of how shit Saturday night TV can be.

Patriot Outfitters

I have a friend of mine (hello Reiss) who is very much into all things Military-related, be it guns, knives, snipers, etc. At one point he was considering joining the army and even had an appitude test.

I always struggle to think of what to get him or his birthday, his last birthday I struck lucky by getting him a couple of rare(ish) football shirts (another of his passions) but today I stumbled across a web site that might give me some ideas next year.

The site is called Patriot Outfitters and they stock lots of tactical gear from hats to body armour, to special eye goggles and even watches and weapons. Basically everything a fan of the Military could ever want to own - well everything that is legal to own in this country of course.

If you are a fan or know someone who is then why not check them out today?

I Skilled Up Suat!

Training last night was awesome!

Not a lot of people turned up, I think about eight of us were there, so after a spot of passing (knock it out of the area or hit a cone and you have to do 30 press-ups) we got straight into a match.

I had a really good session. People were commenting during the match that it was like watching a different person. They were not watching a bumbling old-school defender who whacks the ball and the opposing player out of the stadium, but someone who was eager to receive the ball, was taking people on and was scoring some very nice goals.

Two players actually said to me after training that I was on form tonight. a third then said to me “OK! Who are you and what have you done with Deano?!”

Suat turned up, he used to play or us and is a good laugh. During the match I got the ball and skilled him up, he claim that he let me go past him - BOLLOCKS!

I went home feeling really high, but with a very sore stomach due to all the sit-ups that I did (I can’t do press-ups so Jayson let’s us decide what we do) because Nat kept hitting balls out of the square and hitting cones.

Medicare For The Elderly

Sometimes I thank God that I live in the United Kingdom where it is free to see the doctor or dentist and you do not have to worry about insurance when having an operation or contracting a horrible disease.

In America it is a very different story. You must have insurance and there are lots of different insurance companies just waiting to offer you the world but sadly a lot of them are not delivering what they promise …. well apart from one that is.

Medicare, most American readers of my blog might well be familiar with this company, is one such company. Set up by the American Government in 1965 they offer insurance to people over the age of 65 who would normally be refused insurance with many other companies. It is also good for people who earn a low wage and would not be able to afford insurance normally.

For a full list of Medicare advantage why not check out this web page.

Big Changes At Acton Town

June 13, 2008 by Dean Saliba

The comittee of Acton Town FC have decided that the club will undergo a number of major and minor changes in time for the new season in September. I am actually on the comittee but sadly I was out-numbered on a lot of the issues which I feel will hurt us moRe than help us as a club.

It as agreed to change the name of the club from Acton Town to AFC Ealing. This was decided upon to move away from the name as nobody lived in Acton. The name Acton Town as a football club dates back to the 1860s and has graced the FA Cup on numorous ocassions. I believe the name s changed to move away from the humiliating defeats we have suffered in the past.

Another big decision was to move the club out of the Middlesex County League and into a lower and weaker league. This was decided upon so that we could actually win some games and silverware, the plan will be to then step back into the league in a couple of seasons.

I was dead against this. The Middlesex County League was on the football league ladder now we are playing in a glorified Sunday league pub league. I do not understand out stepping back into a weaker team will help us progress? Surely we will learn more staying where we are?

Another decision I was not happy with was the decision to force members to pay up their entire seasons’s fees in one lump sum of £165.00 (this is actually more than last season when we were in the Middlesex County League and had a reserve team). There are many of us out of work or in college who will struggle to find this money.

I am looking at opportunity of moving to another club, there are plenty of clubs in the football league ladder who are looking for a left-footed defender …. or maybe I’ll just pay my money and continue to bitch and moan via this blog.

ZooToo - Social Network For Pet Owners

June 12, 2008 by Dean Saliba

There are lot of social network sites popping up on the internet. You have the big guys such as Facebook, MySpace & Bebo but you also have smaller ones that are aimed at a certain group of people. There is a new social network site that is dedicated to pet owners called ZooToo.

Recently becoming a pet owner again I was eager to connect with other pet owners to swap tips and advice on how to raise my little puppy to live a good life. Signing up was incredibly easy and simply, in fact it was even more simple than signing up to Facebook or MySpace.

One draw back about signing up was they only seem to accept people who live in the United States, this is a shame that they are yet to ofer this potentially excellent service to other countries that have a reputation for loving their pets more than each other, like the United Kingdom for instance. :)

Unlik MySpace and Bebo they do not allow you to add CSS to change the layout, in my opinion this is great as this is one of the reasons why most people hate MySpace and Bebo. They allow you to make slight changes but that is it this means the pages load faster. :)

They have the same features that you can find on other social network sites such as blog, photo gallery, events, groups, but they also offer other features such as the ability to connect with charities and shelters an donate your points to them.

If you are an animal lover or have pets of your own then this site, when it gets popular, could be of great use to you so why not sign up today, after all it is free. :)

Smacking In Public

June 10, 2008 by Dean Saliba

Today I had to go somewhere and decided to get a train, on the train was a mother and her boy who was about five. He did not seem to know how to behave on a train and put his feet on a woman next to him and was crying and screaming about juice.

From what I could gather he wanted some of his mum’s drink but she was not letting him have it as he had already had his own and was being greedy this resulted in more screaming. He then decided that he would try to take the drink from her rucksack (which was still on her back even though she was sitting down).

He tried this for about five minutes and everytime he failed he kicked and screamed louder. I admit I became quite amused at his repeated attempts. But then his mum did something that made the rest of the carriage feel very uncomfortable.

She grabbed him and smacked him on the leg. This made the rest of the carriage look away as everyone had the same thought but did not feel confident enough to express it outloud.

When I was a kid I was smacked by my mum, I think it was that act of discipline that helped to send me off the rails as a youngster.

Epayday Payday Loans

The following is a sponsored Post:

In life there will be a time when we could do with some fast cash, whether it is to pay an unexpected bill, repair your car or to buy a present for a friend or loved one. These things normally always come along when you least expect them to and normally when you have no money left!

There is an option called a payday loan. Basically you take out a loan and you pay it back with your next pay check. A lot of people like this option because it is easier to do and very swifter than taking out a normal loan.

This type of loan is also very popular with people with poor credit history as a lot of the lenders who offer payday loans do no require you to have an unblemished record in that department.

Most payday loan companies only ask that you be in employment for a minimum of three months, be paid direct into a bank, hold a cheque book and be over the age of 18.

Epayday is one such company, their application form on the web site is so quick and simple that you can get a response within 24-48 hours and if approved the money will be placed into your account within 24 hours!
