HD Radio Hits Florida

Thursday, June 26th, 2008 | Reviews with No Comments »

If you live in the state of Florida then I have some very exciting news for you music fans out there. For those of you who love listening to music can now get access to Florida High Definition Radio stations.

I remember the old days when you would listen to a radio station and have to put up with the hissing, fizzing, cracking nosies not to mention the times when pirate radio stations would suddenly invade your favouite station’s airwave frequency.

Well not anymore because HD radio is here. No longer will you have to stand there fiddling with the tuner knob hoping to find one of your favouite new country music stations
. The sound is absolutely crystal clear and there is no chance of other stations gatecrashing the airwave frequency.

You will have to buy a special radio to hear these amazing stations but thanks to the many companies that make them he prices have been tumbling down for a while now. One that I suggest is the Polk Audio I-sonic ES2.

HD radio is the future people.

Rollforming Information Web Site

Wednesday, June 25th, 2008 | Reviews with No Comments »

It always amazes me what you can find on the internet these days. There have been times when I have been looking for rare items and have found small web sites selling them or an auction for it on Ebay.

A friend of mine phoned me up today anasked me if I knew anything about where he could get roll forming equipment, my initial response was to tell him to look on the internet. I was not sure if there was much information for rollformers online but to my astonishment there was.

Thanks to the internet I as able to fin a company called Samco-Machinary that were able to help my friend with what he as looking for and I believe they helpd him at a great price.

For those that are unaware of what rollforming is it is something used in engineering to put strips of metal (mostly steel) through sets of rolls, or stands. I had no idea either but I even had a peak at the Samco-Machinary site and was quite interested at the information contained on the site. They even have a blog.

So if you have stumbled across this blog and you find the idea of roll forming intriguing then why not have a gander at their site today.

Playing Online Poker

Tuesday, June 24th, 2008 | Reviews with No Comments »

Last year I discovered the beautiful art of poker thanks to my good friend Reiss, it was not long before I found out that you can actually play poker online from the comfort of your own home against people from all over the world day or night. I’m not a fan of real life Casinos so it was great to find out that I could play from home.

I joined a lot of poker sites but I normally ended up leaving before importing any money as I came to realise they were not the right sites for me. But one site that I did find and have stuck with through all this time is partypoker.com.

The one thing that really appealed to me about partypoker.com’s software was not how easy it was to download and install, nor was it how simple the registration process is, the thing that appealed to me even more was that you can choose to play with real money or pretend money.

Playing with pretend money is just perfect if you are a beginner and do not wish to blow a load of money by rushing in, it is also great for those of you who wish to get used to the way the software works before parting with any large amounts of cash.

There is a section called poker school which is actually a very exhaustive guide with plenty of articles and tips on how to improve your game. This is something all new players should be checking out before playing for real money.

You can also play other games instead of poker. Games such as backgammon, bingo and with their sister site Partycasino.com you can play slots, roulette, blackjack and even more games.

One of the many features that appeals to me is the amount of Poker Tournaments that are available, some of them are free to enter and some of them quire a small deposit.

So if you are a fan of poker then why not pop along and try out partypoker.com today. I promise you will not be disappointed. :)

Handy Flash Memory Stick

Tuesday, June 24th, 2008 | Reviews with No Comments »

How many times have you left important files or a program on another computer because you have forgotten to put it onto a floppy disk or burn it onto a CD? I know I have done this plenty of times.

One little gadget that I have found incredibly useful is a flash memory stick. It is a simple stick that can be hung on your keyring so you will not leave it at home, you just slip it into your PC and drag files and then you can take it with you where ever you go.

Holiday Preperations Underway

Tuesday, June 24th, 2008 | Dean Saliba Dot Com with Comments Off

Days left till holiday: 31!
Days without alcohol: 3!

Preperations for my first ever adult holiday are very much underway now. Last night I started searching for a hotel or bed & breakfast to stay at. The main problem I was having was finding one on the area that would not lock me out if I came back too late.

I think I might have found just the place but I shall have to make further enquiries as their web site is not very informative on what the rooms are like and what extras can be purchased.

I have started buying stuff for my break. I have ordered some new jeans, t-shirts & underwear. Next week I intend to purchase a new pair of shoes and possibly a new jacket. I intend to go out there suited and booted. :)

I have just found out that there is also going to be a music event called Seaford Live8! on September 14th so it looks like I might be returning to Seaford again for that as well. :)

Stylish Navy Seal Style Watch

Tuesday, June 24th, 2008 | Reviews with No Comments »

The following is a sponsored review:

My lovely puppy chewed up my watch so now I have to look at buying a new one, thankfully that job has been made a hell of a lot more easier thanks to an excellent web site that I stumbled across this morning.

They sell a very nice selection of watches that are designed to be used by Navy Seals so you just know that they are not only handy to have but also very tough and difficult to destroy (although are they puppy-proof?).

They also look very stylish and “blingy” which I’m sure a lot of the kids today will want in a watch. So if you are interested in buying a Luminox Navy SEAL Watch then check out the site called lapolicegear.com today.

Bloody Idiots Everywhere I Go!

Tuesday, June 24th, 2008 | Dean Saliba Dot Com with No Comments »

I did the weekly shopping today and as I was walking down Old Bethnal Green Road I spotted a man trying to cross the road about 20 yards away from a zebra crossing. As he got half way across he was almost mown down by a car and had to actually jump as he run in order to avoid the vehicle.

I should have been worried for him (as he certainly wasn’t as he was putting his life on the line) but the only thing going through my mind as “I hope you get run over you stupid bloody cunt!”

That might sound heartless but if you are stupid enough to try and get across a busy road instead of using a zebra crossing 20 yards away then you deserves to be run over by as many cars in a row as possible.

I felt like shouting out to him to not be so bloody stupid but I decided that a confrontation was best avoided and I carried on my way. In the supermarket I felt like causing a confrontation, every aisle I went down there were dozens of Asian women standing in the middle of the aisles talking to eachother.

USE A FUCKING COFFEE SHOP!

CAT6 Power Tool Leads

Tuesday, June 24th, 2008 | Reviews with No Comments »

One thing that I hate doing is when it comes to doing a bit of DIY and I can not find the right lead to go with the power tool that I need to use. It happens to me with my computers as well but that is something for another day.

Thanks to a web site called blackbox.com I stumbled across a list of useful CAT6 leads so that I can always have some spares. They even stock leads for power tolls that it would find difficult to find leads for anywhere else!

33 Days Without Alcohol

Sunday, June 22nd, 2008 | Dean Saliba Dot Com with No Comments »

Days left till holiday: 33!
Days without alcohol: 1!

I am a big fan of Richard Herring. Many people will probably not have heard of him and to be honest that is how I like it as it means I get to keep him all to myself. Telling other people about him would be like him cheating on me with them and telling them jokes he is only meant to share with me. The joke-telling whore!

Anyway, mad confusing rant out of the way, he had a problem with alcohol and food dictating his life. Whilst I do not have a problem with food my main problem is that I too allow alcohol to effect my life. Don’t get it twisted (I’m staying with the ‘yoot’ of today!) I’m not dependent on alcohol but I do consume a lot of it.

He hit upon a novel idea to kick off the year, see how long he can go without drinking a drop of alcohol. It turned out that he went 100 days without allowing a drop of alcohol to pass his lips. This little thing helped him not only lose weight but it gave him a very different outlook on like.

So I thought I would steal his idea like a thief in the night.

I’m not going to try and acheive the 100 days without alcohol that Richard did, instead I shall make a smaller attempt of 33 days, mainly because this is the day before I go on holiday.

I hope to acheive to main things with this:

1. It will help me in my attempt to remove my beer belly, some might have noticed that I have already dropped a jean size (I’m now wearing tighter t-shirt), but with a bit of exercise and weight training thrown in I should be able to shift the dreded “flesh keg”.

2. It will help me save some money. I spend about half (on a good week) of my money on alcohol in a week and going 33 days without buying the stuff will mean I will be able to save some money to put towards my holiday.

Today is my first day so wish me luck guys. :)

Natural Acne Treatments

Thursday, June 19th, 2008 | Reviews with No Comments »

I had the misfortune to suffer from acne when I was a teenager and thankfully it cleared up but I know that some people suffer from it for years into their adulthood. It can be embarrassing and makes people socially inept.

The doctor can help you by prescribing you with a number of treatments but these days many people are looking for more natural acne treatments and you will not find any more natural acne treatments than those found on acnexus.com
